Where Did The Moon Actually Come From Next To Earth?

A new study, published today by the authoritative scientific journal Nature, has questioned the relevance of most of the previous theories about the origin of the moon. Until now, the most likely reason for the appearance of the satellite was considered a collision with the Earth of a small meteorite. Now it turns out that the impact from the outside was much greater.

One of the widespread theories says that the Moon is a real planet that came into our system from the outside and was attracted by the gravity of the Earth. The scientific community is skeptical enough to this theory, since the Moon is not so easy to be subjected to such an influence from our planet. However, among scientists there are also supporters of this theory: they argue that the mass of the satellite has changed upward due to space debris that has gathered around it for several billion years.
